Ready to start sharing your content with millions of researchers on JSTOR? Follow these three easy steps to go live.
On this page:
Step 1: Create and customize an institutional landing page that showcases your unique content.
- In Forum, open the Admin menu and select “Customize Landing Page”. This will be the home for all of your institution's collections on JSTOR.
Check out Guidelines for Customizing Your Landing Page for more info on how to make your collections stand out.
Step 2: Select where your collection will appear and the audience you’d like it to reach.
- Visit your Project Settings and select the "Targets" tab to set up a publishing destination and create your collection page.
- Choose an access level for your collection: “Anyone on the open web” to make your collection available to anyone searching or browsing JSTOR or the open web; or “Your institution” to limit access to members of your institution.
See Setting up JSTOR Target for more information.
Step 3: Publish your content.
- If you've previously published collections to Artstor, there are a few differences to note when publishing to JSTOR. See them in our Feature Comparison: Publishing to Artstor versus JSTOR from Forum.
- To maximize your content's discoverability through JSTOR's search facets and filters, be sure to check your field mappings before publishing. Check our Suggested Field Mappings for recommendations.
- You’re now ready to publish your collection to JSTOR.
