When publishing to JSTOR, contributors may choose fields in their project to function as browse categories for the Classification and/or Geography facets within the collection on JSTOR.
Project fields mapped to the Browse Categories JSTOR field must be List fields in your project, linked to the “Artstor Classification” or “Artstor Country” lists. These lists function as a part of JSTOR's browsing structure.
When using a template, such as the Visual Resources Template, and setting up a JSTOR publishing target, the Artstor Classification and Artstor Country fields will be automatically mapped:
- Artstor Classification > Browse Categories, Hierarchy Level "Classification"
- Artstor Country > Browse Categories, Hierarchy Level "Geography"
