You can use Google Lens to find more information about images in your project directly from Forum. This can be helpful when cataloging, for example, for finding a different view of the place or object, a higher-resolution image, or metadata from matching images.
Google Lens will return like-images based on the uploaded image in your item record. This function works for image file types only (PNG, JPEG, TIFF, JP2, GIF) and will appear grayed out for all other file types.
To search an image in your project in Google Lens:
- Select an image in your project, then select Edit from the actions bar.
- Open the Options menu above the media preview and select Search Image in Google.
A new browser tab will open to a Google Lens search results page, displaying the results of the search based on similarity and relevance to the image from the item record.
