You can upload content to your project from a cloud storage service (popular examples include Google Drive or Dropbox) if the storage service supports a file directory integration. Cloud storage enables you to add media to your project without having to use local storage, which can be especially useful in cases where your local workflow relies on cloud storage for collaborative file management.
Cloud storage services are especially helpful in situations and workflows where:
- multiple individuals will be uploading media into Forum and/or
- when an individual uploading to Forum does not always work from the same machine.
Google Drive
Download and configure Google Drive for desktop from the Google Support site (external)
When you are ready to upload media in Forum, your Google Drive content will be accessible by browsing your file directory.
Dropbox
Download the Dropbox Desktop app from the Dropbox Support site (external)
Once you have installed the desktop app, a Dropbox folder will display within your file directory.
